The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Manager Global Warehouse to join our dedicated Supply Chain team in this hybrid position at our Germantown, NY site. This position will have the flexibility to work 50% onsite & remote each week as business allows.

The Pay Range: $93,000 - $103,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.

The Role:
The Manager Global Warehouse’s main responsibility is to achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment, and track shipping times for thousands of product orders every year. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.  It is key for the candidate to maintain an operational knowledge of each of Taconic’s sites globally to enhance the global procurement group’s ability to fulfill the needs of each site. Provides leadership, vision, training, and action needed to accomplish Taconic's strategic goals.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing and demonstrating global warehouse best practices that ensure the optimal supply of material is available and distributed to all of Taconic sites and to efficiently utilize Taconic’s warehouse space.
  • Develop policies and processes that ensure our warehouses are full of high performing employees. Ensure processes are in place that grow our people and our organization so that we can successfully scale to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Continuously monitor and improve Health, Safety, and Environmental standards with a key focus on ergonomics.
  • Lead Global Warehouse Growth initiatives.
  • Improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes and will have influence on company communications for policy and procedural updates.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement. Recommends specific actions on unfavorable trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the global warehouse function while establishing standard methodologies for warehousing.
  • Work with Global Supply Chain in efforts to evaluate alternative supply networks that optimize cost and service objectives while considering changes in business and customer profiles.
  • Plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecast budgets and cost of sales in each division to achieve or outperform financial objectives.
  • Optimize the layout of the raw materials and finished goods in all warehouses so that space is utilized to its fullest and in the most productive structure.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business, Engineering, Business Operations, Management, or related field regarding Supply Chain Management, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level. 
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience and/or special skills required prior to starting this position in:
    • Experience managing multiple warehouse locations.
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead change.
    • Quantifiable evidence of delivering results.
    • Leadership experience within order fulfillment, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
    • Knowledge in 5S and lean manufacturing.
    • Participation in continuous improvement projects to improve logistics processes and procedures.
    • Experience in inventory control, cycle counting and managing inventory to sales ratio.
    • Experience implementing Material Requirements Planning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
Travel:
Regular travel is required, generally no more than one trip per month.
