The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Client Relationship Manager to join our dedicated Sales team in this remote position. This position will cover a territory mainly focused on Boston, MA, with some reach into greater Massachusetts and New England. This position requires residence within the assigned territory. 
Sponsorship for US citizenship is not available for this position.

The Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000 annual base salary, plus a $55,000 commission at plan. Exact annual base salary may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.

The Role:
Taconic's Client Relationship Manager manages complex accounts to achieve revenue targets. This account management role requires the ability to develop relationships with a variety of buying personas to both protect existing business and identify new opportunities among existing clients. An ability to develop and implement account plans; knowledge and understanding of business strategy and the ability to work collaboratively and influence others internally and externally is required. Success in this role will require a focus on uncovering customer needs and positioning appropriate solutions as well as funnel management and accurate forecasting. 

Duties of the Client Relationship Manager include the following:
  • Achieve revenue targets and quotas as outlined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Drive TEAM selling approach to support customer intimate solution development.
  • Heavy focus on complex corporate account management and increasing share of wallet.
  • Develop business understanding to ensure knowledge of product, customer, competitors. 
  • Submit on-time forecasts and other ad-hoc reports and maintain accurate SalesForce.com data for accounts, contacts, and opportunity pipeline management.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university.
  • A degree with a Life Science focus preferred.
  • Experience working in a lab or technical setting.
  • Experience in account/territory management in a life science or specialized field with demonstrated success in meeting established targets.
  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience and/or training.
  • Communication:
    • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of the organization at all levels.
    • Ability to actively listen and understand information presented and different points of view.
  • Leadership:
    • Ability to influence internal teams in support of customer and revenue goals.
    • Ability to set direction with territory/account plans.
    • Must conduct business with a sense of urgency.  Improper handling will have a moderate effect on operating results and sales revenue.
  • Sales Skills:
    • Ability to implement sales process methodology including prospecting, qualifying, presenting solution, objection handling, negotiating, and closing to drive territory performance as well as provide customer solutions.
    • Ability to support execution of contract requirement for clients expected.
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to demonstrate understanding of market, customers, and competition through business analytics.
    • Ability to develop solutions and make recommendations to meet or exceed territory goals are required.
Travel:
Frequent travel required, generally multiple trips each month and primary job responsibility includes travel.

Physical Demands:
Some physical exertion is required such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, and lifting, and/or lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
