The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Team Coordinator Support Services to join the dedicated Wash team at the Germantown, NY site.
The Pay Range: $25 - $27. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.
The Role:
The Team Coordinator Support Services plays a key role in coordinating daily operations related to the cleaning, sterilization, and delivery of supplies used in barrier and gnotobiotic areas. This role provides guidance and support to the technician team, ensures compliance with SOPs, assists with training, and helps maintain efficient, accurate, and timely workflows. The position serves as a working lead and is essential to supporting high-quality, consistent service to internal production areas.
Core Responsibilities:
- Must have complete knowledge and follow all SOPs regarding department operations.
- Ability to operate autoclaves, tunnel washers and forklifts.
- Assists the department Team Coordinator to coordinate the cleaning, loading, autoclaving, or delivery of containers to barrier units as well as help cover area during their absences.
- Assist in the completion of area responsibilities.
- Verify accurate completion of tasks by area personnel.
- Train and motivate employees.
- Orient new employees to work area.
- Train and enforce Standard Operating Procedures.
- Coordination of supply requisitions and move orders for area with Team Coordinator.
- Prepare reports and review weekly paperwork and computer data of area personnel.
- Input on personnel evaluation and disciplinary actions.
- Inform management of problems.
- Assist with container lock inspections.
- Occasionally work in other areas if needed.
- Ensure computer data entries complete.
- Assist with preparation of supplies needed, cleaning and fogging of barrier units as per SOP.
- Interacts with other support departments as well as production areas to ensure supply needs are met.
- Being a current member of the support services team is required.
- High school diploma or GED required; specialized certification or licensing a plus.
- Must hold a current forklift certification
- At least 2 years of experience in a technician role or related support services environment
- Comfortable using computers for data entry, reporting, and communication
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ability to support/enforce compliance
- Proven ability to follow direction, train others, and assist with team coordination
