Field Applications Scientist

The Location: The Field Applications Specialist position is a remote role.
The Pay Rate: $125,000 annual salary, $40k commission at target.

The Role:
As a Field Applications Scientist, you will lead and support client-facing preclinical research programs by providing scientific expertise in study design, execution, interpretation, and communication. You will partner with biotech and pharmaceutical sponsors to develop tailored study solutions, maintain strong scientific collaborations, and ensure high-quality compliant project delivery. This role supports technical communications, scientific presentations, industry engagement, and internal training initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engage with biotech and pharma clients to understand therapeutic programs and experimental needs.
- Co-design robust preclinical study protocols aligned with client objectives.
- Provide clear and structured scientific responses to technical inquiries.
- Prepare scientific presentations, data summaries, and supporting materials.
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry meetings.
- Contribute to internal training on our models and study capabilities.
- Stay current on scientific literature and competitive landscape to strengthen client discussions
- Lead preclinical projects by investing scientific expertise in detailed study design, implementation, interpretation, and quality control
- Build and maintain sustainable, transparent, trust-based, and productive scientific collaborations with study sponsors
- Maintain clear and analytical communication and reporting
- Understand and rigorously apply regulatory and operational guidelines including ethical/animal welfare requirements, as well as project and timeline management policies
Education and Experience:
- PhD in Immunology or related life sciences field
- Experience in a wide range of principles and methodology of a specialized professional or technical field. Experience in developing and leading projects. 4-8 years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Minimum of 5 years’ CRO experience required.
- Strong experience designing in vivo preclinical studies.
- Experience with Humanized mouse models preferred
- PhD in Immunology or a related life sciences field.
Travel:
Regular travel - generally no more than one trip per month. Overnight travel and travel to Europe will be necessary.
