The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Scientific Solutions Intern to join our Scientific Services team! This internship opportunity is remote.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range.

The Internship: The Scientific Solutions Intern is an entry-level member of the Scientific Solutions Strategy Design Group and plays a key support role within the team. The Strategy Design Group leads Taconic is project planning and genetic support, including breeding strategies, timelines, and risk considerations. The team also contributes to maintaining internal tools, standards, and documentation to ensure high-quality scientific service delivery. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Scientific Solutions Intern will support the Strategy Design Group with continuous improvement through accurate data collection, organization, analysis, process documentation, and modernization of proposal templates. The output will improve employee access to data and resources to support project planning and lead to a better overall customer experience. This position is ideal for individuals with foundational biology and genetics knowledge who enjoy organizing information, analyzing data, improving processes, and building tools that make teams more efficient.

You can expect to do:
  • Project and genetic data collection, organization, analysis and reporting
  • Assist in documentation and optimization of internal processes
  • Modernize and enhance proposal templates and internal tools
  • Support in team SharePoint site development and roll out
  • Shadowing members of the Strategy Design Group as they perform their duties and attend weekly team meetings
  • Learn and apply tools, software systems, and methodologies used in Scientific Solutions project planning and proposal development
  • Exposure to other functions within the Customer Support and Solutions group and overall Taconic organization
  • Other duties may be assigned

Eligibility:
To be eligible for this opportunity you must:
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master's or PhD in: Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or related field program.
  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with SharePoint preferred.
  • Have a high attention to detail and ability to organize and manage datasets
