The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Senior Analyst Quality Assurance to join our dedicated Quality team at our Germantown, NY site. This role will have limited remote flexibility.

The Pay Range: $65,000 - $78,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.

The Role:
The Senior Analyst Quality Assurance will be responsible for supporting Quality Assurance programs as part of the Quality Management System, including performance of process reviews, metrics trending and reporting, status tracking, and facilitation of effective corrective and preventive actions. They will perform site quality reviews and change management activities, including review and revision of supporting documentation. The Senior Analyst Quality Assurance will work with a global team of professionals across all functional areas of the company. While the position has core responsibilities, it must also meet the ever-changing demands of a growing business.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Implementation, facilitation, and continuous improvement of Taconic Biosciences quality systems.
  • Perform detailed process reviews identifying all gaps adversely impacting product and process quality as well as opportunities for improvement.  Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective closure of identified gaps.
  • Management of the Quality Management System as it relates to internal deviations, genotyping resulting inquires, sample receipt errors, and equipment calibration.
  • Manage Document Control System for Taconic sites.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that SOPs accurately represent the processes and assurances needed to meet Taconic and customer quality requirements and standards.
  • Ensure effective execution of the change management process.
  • Develop validation protocols and ensure verification of changes.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to facilitate root cause investigations resulting in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions that ensure no repeat occurrences of the noted issue.
  • Facilitate site quality reviews.
  • Tabulate, trend, and report quality metrics. Ensure follow-through to complete investigations, corrective, and preventive actions to improve quality performance.
  • Provide training on quality related topics to the workforce.
  • Partner with all areas of the business to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of quality systems to ensure product and process compliance.
  • Other QA leadership or support, as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience and/or training.
  • ISO, ASQ, or ICRA Auditor Certification will be required withing 2 years of start date.
  • Six sigma green or black belt certification.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), measurement system analysis (MSA) and design of experiment (DOE) preferred.
  • Previous experience working Quality systems in a TS16949 or AS9000 environment.
  • Ability to actively listen and communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to write reports, procedural instructions, and/or policies.
  • Ability to effectively speak, present information, and respond to questions from members of the general public, groups of employees, managers, and customers
Travel:
Occasional travel required, generally 2-5 trips per year (all travel pending internal COVID-19 guidelines).
