The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking an Order Management Services Coordinator! This role is responsible for delivering an outstanding level of customer service by owning the order-to-delivery function in support of our Scientific Services business.

The Pay Range: $63,000 - $71,000 annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range. 

The Schedule: Monday - Friday, core business hours.

The Role:
The Order Management Services Coordinator at Taconic holds a key role in the order fulfillment process. Their responsibilities include managing customer orders, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating deliveries. this position demands adeptness in handling complex situations and excellent problem-solving skills, crucial to enhancing customer satisfaction and driving the overall success of Taconic and our customers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and proactively manage the entire process of fulfilling Services customer shipment requests from order entry to delivery
  • Manage customer relationships and support all aspects of the customer order process, policies and procedures
  • Fully execute all agreed upon customer timelines; be proactive in managing challenges to reduce customer disruption
  • Establish and maintain communication with the appropriate internal team members throughout the process
  • Ensure order validation, compliance and approvals before order entry
  • Communicating order confirmation, ship date, and packing information to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinates shipment of biological materials to internal and external Services customers
  • Order management processes within Taconic’s Order Management system (s), including entering orders, communicating order confirmations, shipping dates, and tracking information to customers
  • Responsible and accountable for communication and execution of movement of animals/materials aligned with the project plan. Be the "glue" that holds everything together and keeps project progressing on schedule
  • Answering inbound customer communications regarding booking orders, order status, and technical questions
  • Work closely with the Transportation, Project Management, and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of all orders
  • Monitoring self-performance to ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly objectives are met
  • Ensures customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
    • Responsible for seeking training if they recognize they are unaware of a service, product, technique or methodology
  • Participates in high-performing teamwork setting with Project and/or Program Managers with the expectation of:

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in skilled or technical assignments requiring prior training to perform operations and resolve common problems. Some guidelines or standards are provided
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience and/or training
