Project Manager

Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Project Manager to join our dedicated team in this hybrid position. This role does have a 10% on-site requirement.
The compensation: $58,000 - $70,000 annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

What does it mean to be a Taconic Project Manager?
Taconic employs an international team of Project Managers positioned at the center of the relationship between Taconic’s portfolio of capabilities and clients ranging from tier A1 pharmaceutical companies to leading academic research institutions. The Project Manager works as part of a client management team and at the lead of the project team. They are directly responsible for managing each projects execution in terms of timeline, scope (project specifications/quality) and budget all while ensuring all stakeholders (both internal and external) are fully apprised of all potential and real outcomes in each project.
A successful candidate might be someone who:
- Has experience working in direct customer service setting.
- Has experience in management or supervisory retail or food service positions
- Has experience in balancing work and school responsibilities in tandem
- Hands on: Isn’t afraid to jump into the weeds and start working
- Has a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent military or similar training) with coursework in Math, Biology, or other hard sciences
- Has worked with animals, in vivo, research or in a lab (as a team leader or supervisor is a plus!)
- Doesn’t shy away from the need use your judgement, manage risks and make decisions
- Will take ownership situations at hand and get things done.
- Doesn’t just check the box, but creates the check list
- Enjoys learning and strategic thinking
- Enjoys being part of a team and at times the leader of the team
- Is comfortable being a team captain and directing work to various team members (or perhaps you don’t enjoy this but are always selected by your peers!)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level in the areas of project management or biology/genetics
- PMP certification is preferred
