The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist Intern to join our Customer Experience team in this full time, paid, summer internship. This will be a remote internship, qualified candidates should reside within 3 hours of the Rensselaer, NY site.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range.

The Internship
Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist Intern to support cross-functional process initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience. This internship focuses on documenting and standardizing global processes, improving employee self-support capabilities, and optimizing customer-facing workflows within the Quote-to-Cash process. The intern will collaborate across teams to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives that drive operational efficiency and alignment with company objectives.

A Customer Experience Specialist Intern can expect to:
  • Process Analysis and Improvement: Assist in identifying inefficiencies in customer-facing processes, recommend solutions, and document standardized workflows.
  • Documentation Management: Help organize, update, and upload department documentation into the document control system; working with department leaders to address gaps and prioritize updates.
  • Resource Development: Contribute to the creation of playbooks, scripts, videos, and templates to support customer facing team members and improve process consistency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside teams across Sales, Customer Service, Analytics, and our Field Scientists to support organizational alignment and consistency.
  • Performance Metrics and Optimization: Assist in monitoring key metrics, gathering feedback, and refining workflows, to enhance efficiency.
  • Customer Experience Support: Support Customer Experience Leadership in resolving issues and ensuring accurate, timely, and responsive customer order processes.
  • Additional Duties: Participate in other projects and tasks as needed to contribute to team and organizational goals while gaining hands-on experience.
  • Have opportunities to network within our global organization
  • Prepare an end of summer presentation on the knowledge and skills you’ve obtained, with provided exposure to leadership

Eligibility:
  • To be eligible for this opportunity you must be a current student pursing a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum completion at least 2 semesters of related courses required.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate and convey ideas.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Specific tools may include:
    1. Process mapping software (Visio)
    2. Content management systems (for documentation roles).
    3. Data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI).
    4. Develop on-line video training content for the customer facing team
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn quickly and adjust to new challenges.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within teams.
