Shipping Coordinator for production company in Lille Skensved

Taconic Biosciences is looking for a structured and solution-oriented team member to manage documentation processes and air freight for shipments of live animals and tissues nationally and internationally.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all shipping details are accurate, that deliveries arrive on time and according to national legislation. You will handle domestic and international customs compliance, with a strong focus on animal welfare, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
You will join a dedicated and experienced Warehouse & Shipping Team (3 in total), playing a central role in maintaining our high standards for international logistics and delivery. You work closely with colleagues cross functional to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of our global deliveries.
You will serve as an important link between Taconic, freight forwarders, and internal/external teams to ensure that all shipping documents are accurate and meet all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify order-related documentation for Taconic customers
- Ensure all required endorsements and seals are in place for shipments from our Danish and German sites
- Coordinate and validate country-specific import/export requirements
- Define the need for shipping permits and ensure compliance prior to shipment
- Collaborate with the transportation team and external freight carriers to arrange proper shipping methods and resolve delays or missing shipments
- Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs where applicable
- Ensure systems (Salesforce / NetSuite) are optimized to support global shipping operations
- Support emergency shipment handling and assist with cross-functional logistics tasks
- Participate in carrier selection, bid development, and contract negotiations
- File and monitor freight claims related to damage or shortages, and support escalation resolution in cooperation with internal teams and suppliers
- Handle weekly operational tasks, including shipment booking, document printing, trip manifests, and third-party vendor coordination in line with SOPs
- Generate and present internal reports on shipping volume, trends, and logistics challenges
- Quote and book shipments from German and Danish sites (air freight, dedicated transport, samples, etc.)
- Coordinate export documentation and signatures with local animal welfare and regulatory authorities
- Review and preliminarily approve freight invoices
- Have experience in shipping and logistics, preferably in a global setting and gladly with experience with shipping living animals
- Are familiar with customs procedures and export regulations
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment but are also capable of working independently
- Are fluent in both written and spoken English and Danish, German language skills are preferred
- Have experience working with ERP and CRM systems (we use NetSuite and Salesforce)
- Are organized, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
